BC Hydro: Rebrand

TAXI helped revisit, revise, and re-articulate the organization’s masterbrand positioning. Ultimately, we had to check several crucial boxes – the brand had to enable BC Hydro to deepen and improve their relationship with British Columbians, engage employees, and leave BC Hydro well positioned to meet its business and strategic priorities.

By merging BC Hydro and Power Smart into one brand, BC Hydro Power Smart, it would be a company and a cause all at once. It would stand for conservation, safety, customer care, and building smart solutions for an energy-smart BC.

The refreshed brand had to be modern, friendly, and work across multiple programs and platforms. We created a new logo that married a historic icon with contemporary type. From that, we put together a very comprehensive brand, from typeface to colour palette, photography style to interior and exterior signage.
